Tough Outing for the Rockies at Coors Field
Ouch, Rockies fans. It was a challenging day at Coors Field as the Colorado Rockies fell to the San Francisco Giants with an 8-2 loss. From the start, things seemed shaky for us with the Giants' early lead in the top of the 1st. Grant McCray singled and despite the best efforts, Jake Lamb quickly brought in a run. Our pitchers seemed to struggle against the Giants' lineup, and errors certainly didn't help.
Bright Spots in the Rockies' Lineup
It's not all gloom and doom though! Big ups to Ezequiel Tovar for putting us on the board with that incredible homer in the bottom of the 3rd. That 416-foot beauty had us all on our feet cheering! Also, Jacob Stallings and Austin Nola had a nice connection in the 2nd inning with their combined efforts bringing in our first run. These moments keep the spirit high for us Rockies fans.

Giants Pull Ahead
Unfortunately, the Giants capitalized on every opportunity. The 8th inning really sealed the deal for them, as their bench proved just as dangerous as their starters. Two more runs were tacked on after some crafty base-running by the Giants. By the time our Ben Bowden and Lucas Gilbreath took the mound, the damage was already done, leaving the Rockies to face a serious uphill battle.Let's keep our heads up, Rockies fans! There’s always the next game and another chance to show off our home-field prowess. We’ll get 'em next time!
