Cheers echoed throughout the stadium as we went up 2-0 early. It was a powerful statement, and just the beginning of our offensive showcase.Adding to the Lead 
The second inning was quintessential Cubs magic! Ian Happ came through again with a massive three-run homer, bringing Carson Kelly and Vidal Bruján home. Not stopping there, in the third inning, Michael Busch joined the homer party with a three-run shot, extending our lead to 9-1. The Mariners battled back during the next few innings, but the damage was done.Closing It Out with Confidence 
Though the Mariners tried to mount a comeback, our bullpen held strong. A solo homer by Cal Raleigh in the ninth added a run for Seattle, but Daniel Palencia sealed the deal by retiring the next few batters to close out the game. This fantastic team effort, with crucial contributions from so many players, showcases the Cubs' potential. What a day to be a Cubs fan!
