Reds Off to a Strong Start
The game commenced with our Cincinnati Reds showcasing their early prowess. After a scoreless first inning for Seattle, the Reds' own Elly De La Cruz ignited our hopes by reaching base with an infield single. Soon after, Austin Hays took the spotlight, launching a powerful two-run homer to right center field, propelling the Reds to an early 2-0 lead.
Mid-game Twists and Turns
As the match progressed to the fourth and fifth innings, the Mariners managed to level the scoreboard, capitalizing on a couple of home runs and a few fielding errors. While the Mariners edged ahead in the fifth inning to 4-2 with a series of plays that unfortunately didn't go our way, our optimism never waned.
The Reds Rally Back
The eighth inning was a thriller for the Reds. After a series of well-crafted at-bats, Jake Fraley drove a three-run homer to right-center field, sparking an electrifying moment and lifting the Reds into the lead, 7-5. Our stands were buzzing with excitement, thinking the Reds might just have this one in the bag.

However, the Mariners had other plans. In a dramatic ninth inning, Seattle tied the game with two swift home runs. The game extended into extra innings, where unfortunately, Seattle capitalized on our defensive errors, securing a 11-7 victory over our Reds.
