A Roller Coaster Start
What a game!
We kicked things off with a bang against the Mets. Right from the top of the 1st, Randy Arozarena hustled with a single and Julio Rodríguez came through with a double to bring him home! Our cheers were short-lived as Francisco Lindor responded with a solo homer. All tied up at 1-1! In the 2nd inning, Mitch Garver blasted a massive 405-foot homer to center, granting us a slim lead. Despite Francisco Alvarez's and Francisco Lindor's efforts to edge the Mets in front with an impressive display, it was anybody's game at 3-2.Battle of Big Bats
The back-and-forth continued as Cal Raleigh smashed a 399-foot homer to send Arozarena home in the 3rd inning.
We stood strong at a 4-3 lead. As the Mets clawed back with two homers by Lindor and Juan Soto in the 4th inning, our excitement turned into determination. We were trailing 6-4 by the 4th. But the Mariners’ spirit never wavers!Seizing the Lead
By the 7th inning, the Mariners put on a show. Eugenio Suárez started the comeback with a double that leveled the score, and Dominic Canzone followed up with a clutch single! The hits kept coming from Donovan Solano, who doubled, and Cole Young, whose double sent both Garver and Moore to cross home plate. That 7th inning charge put us ahead at 10-6 and left the Mets stunned.
In the 8th, Julio Rodríguez once again gave us a boost with another double, extending our lead to 11-6.Closing It Out
Mets' Francisco Alvarez's homer in the 8th sparked tension, bringing them closer at 11-9. Intensity filled the air as Andrés Muñoz stepped in with nerves of steel to shut down the 9th inning, powering through Soto, Nimmo, and Alonso. The Mariners clinched a sweet victory at 11-9. What a thrilling experience at the ballpark!
