A Rollercoaster in Philly 🎢

Well, Mariners fans, what a rollercoaster of a game we just witnessed against the Phillies! Despite a valiant effort, we came up short in the end. The final score, 6-4, just doesn't capture the heart and determination our boys brought to the field. There were moments that had us cheering, and others that had us on the edge of our seats. Here's how it all went down:

A Rough Start, But Finding Our Groove âš¾

The game started off a little rocky with Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh, and Julio Rodríguez unable to get on base in the top of the first. Unfortunately, the Phillies jumped out early with Kyle Schwarber hitting a homer to give them a 1-0 lead. We had our first real glimmer in the 3rd inning when Arozarena doubled to center, bringing J.P. Crawford home to tie it up 1-1. That got the energy flowing, but the Phillies quickly regained the lead.

Rally Time! 💪

By the 4th inning, the Phillies were up 4-1 due to some excellent hitting on their part, but it was in the 7th when our Mariners really dug deep. Crawford singled, and after some strategic plays, Eugenio Suárez hit a crucial double to left, allowing both Arozarena and Raleigh to score and tie the game at 4-4! We were back in it, and you could feel the excitement from all the Mariners fans in the stands.

A Heartbreaking Finish 💔

Just when it seemed like we might pull off something special, the Phillies struck again. In the bottom of the 8th, J.T. Realmuto hit a two-run homer that would eventually seal our fate. In the 9th, we sent in Luke Raley to pinch-hit, hoping to spark another rally, but unfortunately, we couldn't manage any more runs, and the game ended 6-4 in favor of the Phillies.

Let's hold our heads high, Seattle fans! Our team showed resilience and grit, attributes we can be incredibly proud of. We will march on to the next game with that fighting spirit! Go Mariners! 🌟
