Tough Start for Blue Jays Pitching
A rough day for the Blue Jays, folks! In the top of the 1st inning, the Mariners came out swinging. Dylan Moore opened with a homer, and Cal Raleigh followed suit with a two-run shot, putting us at a 3-0 deficit early.
A Glimmer of Hope in the 2nd
Our boys showed some promise in the bottom of the 2nd! Addison Barger doubled, and Tyler Heineman brought him home with an infield single.
Flashes of Brilliance, but Falling Short
We witnessed a few standout moments like George Springer's doubles and Lukes scoring on a sac fly in the 3rd. The bullpen gave us a decent performance, but a homer by Rowdy Tellez in the 7th put Mariners firmly in control. The lads couldn't convert their chance late in the game, closing out the 8-3 loss to Seattle.
Final Thoughts
This was a tough one, but our team showed some grit. Despite the score, there are some positives to discuss. Both Bichette and Guerrero Jr. had solid performances with multiple hits, reminding us that we've got a talented roster. Let’s keep our heads up and look forward to the next game! We've got this, Blue Jays fans!
