A Home Run Start
The game couldn't have started on a more exciting note for us Blue Jays fans!

Strong Pitching Holds the Line
Strong pitching from both sides kept the game tight. Our pitchers were dealing, with Kevin Gausman keeping the Mariners off the board into the 6th inning. In that inning, however, things got a bit dicey. Cal Raleigh of the Mariners tied it up with a solo home run that flew 420 feet into right-center. Unfortunately, a wild pitch and some key hits allowed Seattle to take the lead 2-1 before the inning closed. Despite solid efforts from Clement, Santander, and others, the Jays couldn't answer back in the bottom half.Tough Finish and Hopes for Tomorrow
The Mariners added one more in the 8th inning, stretching their lead to 3-1, as Jorge Polanco singled to drive in Randy Arozarena. Although the Blue Jays kept fighting with Myles Straw and Davis Schneider trying hard, the offense couldn't light up the board again. Even when facing the final inning, hopes were high, but closer Andrés Muñoz managed to shut the door on our comeback. Final score: Mariners 3, Blue Jays 1.We might have come up short today, but tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities. Let's gear up and get that W next time. Go Jays Go!
