A Strong Start for St. Louis

The St. Louis Cardinals got off to a fiery start against the Baltimore Orioles. Lars Nootbaar set the tone early by singling to right and scoring thanks to Willson Contreras’ single to center. Our boys left Orioles scoreless while building momentum, finishing the inning with a 1-0 lead.

The Cards Fly High in the 2nd

The Cardinals continued to bring the heat in the 2nd inning. Jordan Walker singled, setting the stage for Lars Nootbaar to launch a 388-foot homer to right-center, padding our lead to 3-0! 💪 Our defense kept the Orioles locked down, refusing to let them cross home plate.

A Rough Patch, but Never Defeated

Despite a rocky 5th inning, where the Orioles jumped to a 4-3 lead after a 405-foot homer by Ryan O'Hearn, the Cards were far from backing down. The top of the 7th saw Victor Scott II working the bases, allowing Masyn Winn to bring him home, tying the game at 4-4.

The Cardinals Soar in the 8th

The 8th inning was where our Cardinals truly shined. 🙌 Nolan Arenado crushed a 400-foot homer to left-center, reclaiming the lead at 5-4. Nolan Gorman tripled, and with quick thinking, Jose Barrero pinch-ran and scored thanks to Jordan Walker’s triple to left. Masyn Winn's single sealed the deal, pushing the Cardinals to a commanding 7-4 lead.

Closing It Out in Style

Despite a valiant effort by the Orioles, the Cards’ bullpen remained strong. The bottom of the 9th saw Ryan Helsley shutting down the opposition, striking out Chadwick Tromp and Jackson Holliday. With the final out, the Cardinals triumphed with a 7-4 victory! 🎉

A spectacular game that showcased both the might of our hitting and the resilience of our pitching and defense. Go Cards! 🔴⚾
