Exciting Start for the Guardians
The game kicked off with a strong start from the Cardinals' Brendan Donovan, who hit a home run to set the lead early. But, our Kyle Manzardo quickly matched their energy, hammering a homer to center in the 4th inning, which sparked off an explosive inning for our boys. The bottom of the 4th was a showcase of resilience and skill, with the Guardians making a remarkable comeback to lead 6-1 by the end of that inning.
A Nail-Biting Middle of the Game
The Cardinals came back swinging in the 5th and 6th innings, chipping away at our lead while we held on tight. Victor Scott II and Brendan Donovan helped the Cardinals even up the game, closing the inning with a lead at 8-6. The Guardians tried to regain control, with Nolan Jones and Gabriel Arias making crucial plays, but were unable to convert those into runs.Fighting Spirit Until the End
As the game moved into the final innings, both sides fought hard. The Cardinals bumped up their score in the 9th with Willson Contreras homering to left center, extending their lead to 9-6. Our beloved Guardians battled to the end, but sadly couldn't find a breakthrough. Despite the loss, the energy and potential displayed were promising — and the support from the crowd was unwavering! Looking forward to seeing how this team grows through the season. They're showing a lot of heart and hustle, and we're proud no matter the outcome.
