A Strong Start for the Cardinals
It was a promising start for our beloved St. Louis Cardinals as they took an early lead against the Miami Marlins. In the first inning, Jose Fermin drew a walk and Pedro Pagés followed up with a clutch double to center, allowing Fermin to score.Defensive Strength and a Missed Opportunity
The game leveled out, with both teams delivering strong defensive performances. Our pitching squad did an excellent job of keeping the Marlins at bay, even though Griffin Conine managed to hit a home run in the third inning to tie the score at 1-1. In the seventh inning, our Tai Peete delivered a crucial double, followed by a sacrifice fly from Yordalin Pena which allowed Peete to score and put us back in the lead, 2-1!A Battle to the End
