Tough Outing for the Cardinals
Well, Cardinals fans, it's one of those days we'd rather forget.

Early Struggles at the Plate
Our offense was off to a rocky start with Lars Nootbaar, Masyn Winn, and Ivan Herrera grounding and popping out in quick succession in the 1st inning. Meanwhile, our defensive side held strong for the first inning as Sal Frelick was the only Brewer to reach base with a single.
Brewers Pull Ahead
The 2nd inning saw the Brewers break the stalemate when Isaac Collins tripled and scored on an infield single by Brice Turang. We managed to keep the damage to a minimum at first, but things unfortunately unraveled later on.
Brewers Extend the Lead
In the 5th inning, the Brewers capitalized on a few mistakes, turning singles and a double into runs. The heartbreaker came when Jackson Chourio hit a two-run homer, extending their lead to 6-0. Despite our attempts, including hits by Burleson and Nolan Arenado in the 7th inning, we couldn't bring anyone home. We had some chances with runners on base but just couldn't convert.
Finishing Up
The game ended quietly with no further scoring from either side. A few glimpses of potential got overshadowed by Milwaukee's control of both the mound and the plate today.
Let's stay positive, fellow Cards fans. We're bound to rally back. It's just one game, and we've all seen how this team can bounce back stronger! Go Cards!
