Brewers' Offensive Spark in the 4th
What a thrilling game for us Brewers fans as we notched a fantastic win against the Cardinals! Although both teams struggled to get on the board in the first three innings, our boys turned things around in the 4th!
Sal Frelick got us on the right track with an infield single and, thanks to William Contreras, who doubled to left, Frelick scored our first run! Christian Yelich got involved with a crucial walk, adding some pressure to the Cards, although we couldn't capitalize further in the inning.A Nail-Biter 6th Inning
The 5th inning saw the Cards manage to even things up, but come the 6th, Frelick again demonstrated his impactful speed by singling and then stealing second!
Jackson Chourio contributed with a single, setting the stage for a Contreras sac fly that put us back in the lead. Yelich kept the momentum with a grounder allowing Chourio to score, giving us a comfy 3-1 advantage. As always, the Cards didn't make it easy, but we stood resilient.Tension Until the Final Out
As we moved into the final innings, our bullpen was put to the test. The Cards managed to sneak in a run in the 9th with a single by Scott II after a double by Gorman, bringing the score to 3-2. But Trevor Megill finished the game strong, striking out Nootbaar to seal the deal! It's thrilling nights like this that make being a Brewers fan so rewarding. Let's carry this momentum forward!
