A Thrilling Finish in Seattle!

What a game, Mariners fans! 🎉 After a nail-biting 13-inning showdown, the Seattle Mariners pulled off a spectacular win against the St. Louis Cardinals, clinching victory with a final score of 4-2. And who was the star of the show? None other than our hero, Leo Rivas, with his game-ending homer to right field! 🚀

Early Tension and Missed Opportunities

The game kicked off with Ivan Herrera giving the Cardinals an early lead with a solo home run in the first inning. Our Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh both put up a good fight in the bottom of the first but came up short. The Mariners tied it up in the second inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by Dominic Canzone scoring Josh Naylor. From there, it felt like a marathon with inning after inning of tight defense and missed opportunities. Both teams were locked in a pitchers' duel, with neither side giving an inch.

Extra-Inning Glory

Flash forward to the top of the 11th, and it was Thomas Saggese of the Cardinals who initially broke the tie, bringing Willson Contreras home. But fear not, Mariners faithful! Our Jorge Polanco answered back with a clutch double that let Josh Naylor score to equalize once again. Finally, in the bottom of the 13th inning, with everyone on the edge of their seats, Leo Rivas smashed a homer to right field, bringing Josh Naylor in one more time for the win! The stadium erupted, and the city of Seattle got yet another reason to believe in our mighty Mariners. 👏

Overall, a fantastic performance by the team. Let's keep riding this wave. Go Mariners! 💙⚾🌟
