An Exciting Finish at Fenway!
What a game, Red Sox Nation! The Early Innings
The game started off a bit slow for both teams. Caleb Durbin got things going with a double in the third inning, and then Marcelo Mayer brought him home with a single to right, putting the Sox on the board after trailing 2-0. Despite some early struggles, the pitching staff, especially in the early innings, held the Rays in check, keeping the door open for our rally. The Mid-Game Turnaround
The middle innings saw some fireworks. In the bottom of the fifth, Carlos Narvaez crushed a homer to center, bringing in Mayer and Isiah Kiner-Falefa, giving us the lead at 4-2. Our bullpen did a solid job too, weathering the storm when the Rays fought back to tie it up at 6-6.Clutch Performances in Crunch Time
We entered the final act in a deadlock, but the Red Sox weren't done yet! Jason Delay stunned with a solo homer in the seventh to give us a narrow lead. However, the final innings kept us on our toes. Yandy DÃaz, Austin Overn, and company tried to mount a comeback, but it was the Sox bullpen that closed the door on their rally attempts.Closing it Out
In the final frame, our defense held firm, with a crucial 1-2-3 inning by Guerrero pitching to close the game. The Green Monster stood tall and house was a-rockin' with that third out! This hard-fought win is a testament to the never-quit attitude of our beloved Sox. Let's keep this momentum as we charge forward! Go Sox!Scoreboard for Rays @ Red Sox (March 13th, 2026)
