Tough Start, Resilient Finish
Well, Rays fans, this game was a rollercoaster
Mid-Game Momentum
Our guys started chipping away in the second inning with Josh Lowe doubling to setup Ha-Seong Kim's RBI double! Way to go! By the third inning, Chandler Simpson showcased his speed with a triple, scoring on a Yandy Diaz ground out, narrowing the gap to 4-2. Ha-Seong Kim flexed his power again in the 4th with a solo shot to left (366 feet!), pulling us closer at 4-3. But, despite our efforts and getting opportunities, we just couldn't seem to find that key hit to break the Mariners' hold.Seventh Inning Setback
Props to our pitching for holding the Mariners down from the second inning through the sixth! However, the seventh inning got tricky. Josh Naylor launched a solo homer, widening their lead to 5-3. That was a tough blow, and we needed to rally again, but Vargas and the Mariners bullpen were just too strong in the end. The eighth inning saw Domonic Canzone scoring Jorge Polanco, increasing Seattle's lead to 6-3.Ninth Inning Fight
Bottom of the ninth, with the last chance to turn the tide, Matt Brash closed the door on us. Jake Mangum and Christopher Morel were unable to ignite a rally, each succumbing to Brash’s pitches
Heads up, Rays fans—it's just one game, and our team never stops fighting! Let's keep that Tampa Bay spirit high and look forward to coming back stronger!
