A Tough Start for the Mets

Well, Mets fans, it was a rough start to the game against the Texas Rangers tonight. The top of the 1st inning was a nightmare 😬. After a couple of walks and some clutch hits by the Rangers, including a single from Josh Jung and a two-RBI knock from Cody Freeman, the Rangers put up six runs. That's not the way we hoped to begin ⚾.

Alvarez Sparks a Rally

The Mets got something to cheer about in the bottom of the 3rd. Francisco Alvarez launched a massive homer to right field, and that got the ball rolling. Cedric Mullins and Francisco Lindor both came around to score on some productive outs, trimming the Rangers’ lead to 6-3. But that was all our offense could muster 😕.

Rangers Seal the Deal

In the top of the 7th, the Rangers added to their lead with a two-run homer from pinch-hitter Dylan Moore. That pretty much put the game out of reach for us as we couldn’t manage to mount another comeback. Pete Alonso and company were kept quiet for the rest of the night by the Rangers' bullpen. The final: Rangers 8, Mets 3. A tough loss, but we'll be back stronger! 💪

All in all, not the outcome we wanted, but there were moments of brilliance. Let's hope tomorrow's game is a different story! Let's Go Mets! 🌟
