Rangers Dominate the First Inning
What a start by our Texas Rangers!
Right from the get-go, we made the Mets work for it. Josh Smith and Joc Pederson drew walks while Jake Burger lofted a flyball to get Smith to third. Then Josh Jung knocked a crucial single that pushed Smith across home plate. Followed by Alejandro Osuna and Cody Freeman adding to the tally with their impactful hits. Michael Helman wasn't about to be left out, delivering a double that brought in two more runs, sealing a stunning start with a whopping 6-run blast before the Mets even got a chance to bat! 
Resisting the Mets’ Push
Not to downplay a tense third inning when Francisco Alvarez homered over us. The Mets clawed back some credibility with a score of 3, following Cedric Mullins and Francisco Lindor's concerted efforts. But give credit to our guys; even in the face of a slight comeback, the damage was capped at 6-3, with our defense shutting them down from the fourth inning onward. Our pitchers deserve just as much recognition for holding the line.
Home Run Heroics in the Seventh
Just when a Mets comeback seemed feasible, our pinch hitter Dylan Moore popped a majestic 388-foot homer! It brought Wyatt Langford right home with him, extending our lead to a solid 8-3.
Meanwhile, our pitchers never allowed the Mets to breathe easy, cutting short any resurgence they might have hoped for with some stellar defense in the latter innings, especially during the 9th when Maton sealed the victory with a strikeout. Ranger Nation, celebrate this resounding victory! This game showed our team's potential, resilience, and never-stay-down attitude. The Texas Rangers truly shined on the field today!
