O's Charge Out of the Gate
Hey, Orioles Nation!
What a phenomenal game we had today against the Toronto Blue Jays! The atmosphere at Camden Yards was electric and our boys did not disappoint. We started strong from the very first inning with Jordan Westburg doubling to right and soon managed to get the scoreboard rolling with Tyler O'Neill's sacrifice fly, quickly followed by another great sacrifice fly from Cedric Mullins. At the end of the 1st inning, we were already two runs up—Orioles 2, Blue Jays 0!Holding the Line
Our defense was stellar as well, limiting the Blue Jays to just one run through the first half of the game. Ramón Urías and Gunnar Henderson kept the infield tight with timely plays that frustrated the Blue Jays' batters. By the mid-game mark, Mullins and Urías added more runs, keeping us comfortably ahead with a lead of 4-3.
Breaking it Wide Open
And then, O's fans, came the sensational 6th inning!
Henderson kicked it off, driving in Westburg with a single. O'Neill then delivered a massive blow, smashing a three-run home run to left center. Not to be outdone, Urías joined the homer parade with a shot to center! Colton Cowser capped off the inning with a single scoring Mullins, bringing the total to a staggering 10-3 by the end of it! In the 7th inning, we weren't done yet! Henderson and Urías both deposited majestic shots over the fence to bring our run tally to 14. Our pitching was just as rock-solid. Loperfido managed to score a lone run for the Blue Jays with a homer in the 8th, but it was Hiraldo who offered robust relief on the mound.
Our boys continued to shine in the 8th inning with contributions from Westburg and others, putting the final nail in the coffin with a 16-4 victory!O's fans, tonight we painted the town orange! Thanks for cheering the team to victory—what a way to take home the win!
