A Strong Start for the Blue Jays in Detroit
What a game, folks! Our Toronto Blue Jays kicked off their away series against the Detroit Tigers with a commanding 6-2 victory.
The game started slowly, but things picked up in the 4th inning. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swung into action by doubling to center, and then Bo Bichette brought him home, bringing the score to even. A mix-up from the Tigers let us nudge the lead to 2-1. Kudos to Addison Barger and Joey Loperfido for capitalizing on those opportunities.
Jays' Offensive Burst
The magic truly happened in the 5th inning! Vladimir Guerrero Jr. once again showcased why he’s a force to be reckoned with, with a double that ushered in Nathan Lukes. The cherry on top? A superb double from Bo Bichette which saw both Guerrero and George Springer make it home.

Holding Down the Fort
Despite a strong homer from Spencer Torkelson in the 6th, our pitching crew remained resilient. Our bullpen, especially Fisher and Little, stymied any rally attempts by the Tigers. A special shoutout to Rodríguez for making sure the 9th inning was a one, two, three knockout round for Detroit.
As we wrap up this fantastic victory, it's clear the Blue Jays came well-prepared and serious about the series. An awesome win like this sets a great tone, and I can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to the table in the upcoming games. Go Jays!
