An Electric Start and Early Jitters

It was a nail-biting start to the game for us Braves fans as the Nationals quickly put a dent in our spirits with CJ Abrams launching a homer to right center, giving Washington an early 1-0 lead. 😤 Thankfully, our ace calmed the nerves, allowing no further damage with consecutive outs.

Evening the Score in the 4th

Despite some early struggles at the plate, the 4th inning brought us renewed life. Marcell Ozuna found his way on base with a single, setting the stage for Drake Baldwin who smashed a brilliant homer to right, leveling the score at 2-2. Talk about energy in Truist Park! 💪

Dominating the Middle Innings

Our bats heated up in the middle innings! In the 5th, Austin Riley delivered a clutch single to bring Alex Verdugo home, edging us ahead 3-2. Not to be outdone, Eli White's single in the 6th made sure Baldwin's earlier effort wasn’t in vain, as it drove in another run, setting the score at 4-2. 🎉

Closing it Out in Style

Anchored by stellar bullpen performances and solid defense, our Atlanta Braves kept the Nationals at bay. In the 8th, Ozzie Albies made certain we had some breathing room, singling to center and bringing Baldwin home once again. Johnson's cool composure in the 9th sealed the deal, earning us a satisfying 5-2 victory.

Way to reclaim the diamond, Braves! 🏆🎊 See y’all next game day!
