A Rocky Start

Hey Rockies fans, it was a tough game today against the Washington Nationals. 😔 Right from the start, it seemed like things just wouldn't go our way. In the top of the 2nd inning, a couple of unfortunate errors let the Nationals pull ahead with three runs. Despite a solid relief effort by our pitcher Chivilli, we just couldn't catch a break.

Power Hitting Shines Through

But we did have some shining moments! 🌟 In the bottom of the 3rd, Zac Veen showed off his muscle with a towering 412-foot home run to right field, providing the spark we desperately needed and putting us on the board. Later, in the 6th inning, Braxton Fulford followed suit, launching an impressive 433-foot homer to left. It's always a delight to see our young talents showcase their power like this! 💪

Clutch Opportunities Missed

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the Nats' pitching narrowly kept us at bay. We had some chances in the later innings, like Sean Bouchard's pinch-hit single in the 8th and Ryan McMahon's late-game walk, but we just couldn't push more runs across.

Defensively, Braxton Fulford struggled with a couple of costly errors, yet he managed to redeem himself somewhat with that home run. It's a lesson learned and onwards we go. Let's keep our heads up, Rockies fans. We're in this together, and every game is a chance to learn and improve. Here's to bouncing back strong in the next one! 👊⚾ Go Rockies!
