Angels Claim Victory Over Nationals
Hey Halos!
Slow Start, But Strong Finish
The game started off quiet for both teams, with both squads unable to score in the first inning. Things got moving for us when Taylor Ward scored the first run after being hit by a pitch, with Jo Adell helping him advance to third. Although we started with just a single run in the 2nd inning, that was just the beginning!Nationals Threaten, Angels Respond
In the 5th inning, the Nationals tied the game at 1-1 with a homerun from Abrams. Our boys stayed resilient, and after the Nationals took a short-lived 2-1 lead in the 7th inning, Mike Trout responded with a massive 400-foot homer to left, tying the game at 2-2. That was the spark we needed!Explosive 7th Inning
Our lineup came alive in the bottom of the 7th. Kevin Newman crushed a three-run homer, while Christian Moore and Luis Rengifo added crucial hits that set the stage for an outstanding inning. Our guys piled up the runs, leaving the Nationals stunned and unable to recover. At the end of it, we were roaring ahead 7-2, and it felt oh-so-good!
Sealing the Deal
Gustavo Campero put the cherry on top with a solo homer in the 8th inning, extending our lead to 8-2. Our bullpen kept it tight in the final innings, as Bachman sealed the deal in the 9th, ensuring the Nationals couldn’t mount a comeback.Go Halos!
Kudos to the entire team for a thrilling game and a fantastic win!
