A Strong Start for the Nationals
Alright, fellow Nats fans, buckle up because today's game against the Dodgers was a rollercoaster! We came out swinging in the top of the 3rd inning thanks to a fantastic homer by Nathaniel Lowe, sending James Wood and Luis García Jr. home and putting us on the board with a 3-0 lead! That crisp 384-feet shot was just the energy burst we needed!
Mid-Game Challenges
Things were looking good, keeping the Dodgers scoreless until the bottom of the 6th inning. However, that's when the trouble started. Max Muncy nailed a 3-run homer to put the Dodgers in the lead. The real setback hit us hard in the 7th inning when the Dodgers snagged a whopping 7 runs, with Shohei Ohtani tripling and later scoring.
A Spirited Final Push
Despite the harsh blow, our boys showed their resilience in the 9th inning. We scraped out 4 more runs, thanks largely to clutch performances from García Jr., Lowe, Josh Bell, and pinch-hitter Amed Rosario who kept fighting until the end. Our tenacity closed their lead a bit, but the game ended 13-7 in the Dodgers’ favor.Looking Forward
It's tough when the game doesn't go our way, but shoutout to all our Nats who kept swinging! Onward and upward, Nationals! We'll come back stronger in the next game!
