Early Showdown: A Silent Start
The game began with a quiet showdown between our Marlins and the Nationals, with the top of the 1st inning passing quickly without any action from the Nats. Xavier Edwards attempted to ignite the fire, only to be extinguished by the Nats' defense. As the sun set on the 1st inning, the scoreboard read 0-0, but little did we know what lay ahead!
Marlins on the Move: Building Momentum
In the bottom of the 2nd inning, our mighty Matt Mervis blasted a majestic homerun into the right-field stands, giving the Marlins a refreshing lead with the scoreboard reading 1-0.

Game On: Nationals Rally and Marlins Respond
The Nationals weren't about to sit idly by. In the top of the 4th, they battled back to even the score at 3-3. The excitement and tension in the stadium were palpable. But the Marlins were relentless in the bottom of the 5th, reclaiming the lead with a stellar performance. Eric Wagaman's double and Griffin Conine's critical hit pushed us ahead to 6-3!
Holding the Line: Nail-Biting Finish!
By the top of the 9th, the tension could be cut with a knife as we led 7-6. Our reliever, Faucher, entered the game determined to seal the victory. With nerves of steel, he subdued the Nationals' attempts, closing out the inning without any damage and turning their final efforts into a sweet victory for the Marlins. The final scoreboard flashed a victorious 7-6 in our favor.
Ending the game with another win under our belts, our Marlins displayed not only talent but true teamwork. A big THANK YOU to all the fans who remained on the edge of their seats, cheering until the last pitch! Let's keep riding this wave, Marlins!
