Nationals Start Strong

The game kicked off with an electric start from our Washington Nationals! 🎉 The top of the 1st inning saw James Wood earn a walk, setting things in motion. Despite being picked off at first, CJ Abrams managed to single to center. With Josh Bell following up with a walk, the stage was set. Then, in an epic moment, Riley Adams crushed a homer to center field (401 feet), bringing Abrams and Bell home and putting three runs on the board right away for the Nats! 🙌 Luis García Jr. and Dylan Crews couldn't keep the momentum, but we ended the inning on top, 3-0.

Philly Fights Back, But Nats Hold the Line

Into the 2nd inning, the Phillies managed to scrape a run back with Nick Castellanos scoring, cutting the Nationals' lead to 3-1. From the 3rd through to the 5th inning, both teams tightened up defensively, with neither side able to add to their scores. However, it was tense in the 6th when Bryson Stott homered for the Phillies, bringing in two and leveling the score to 3-3.

A Nail-Biting Comeback!

The real drama unfolded in the 9th inning! With the Phillies leading 4-3, after a Realmuto homer, the Nationals took to the bat one last time with serious determination. Dylan Crews doubled on a crucial play, followed by Daylen Lile tying up the game with a single, scoring Crews. 🏃‍♂️💨 But it didn't end there! Lile's daring steal to third resulted in a throwing error by the catcher, allowing him to score the winning run for us. Victory tasted sweet as we closed out the game 5-4! 🎊

What a game, Nationals fans! Huge props to the team for pulling through under pressure and delivering such a thrilling finish. Can't wait to see what they bring next! Go Nats! ⚾❤️
