A Tough Loss for the Mariners
Well, Mariners fans, that was a tough one to watch.
Starting Off Strong, then Fading
Our boys hung in there during the early innings, with standout plays like Cal Raleigh's single and stolen base in the 1st and Leody Taveras showing some hustle with his hitting and base running in the 6th and 7th innings. But alas, we couldn't convert these flashes of brilliance into runs, leaving the score tied at 2 through nine innings. Props to Ben Williamson for stepping up with a couple of crucial hits!
10th Inning Despair
Things unraveled quickly in the top of the 10th, as the Nationals racked up 7 runs, including a crucial home run by Josh Bell. Our bullpen just couldn't contain them. The Mariners attempted to rally back in the bottom with Leo Rivas bringing in a run, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Although it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, let’s keep supporting our team. They fought hard and I'm confident they’ll bounce back stronger! Let's go Mariners!
