A Solid Start by St. Louis with an Early Lead

The St. Louis Cardinals hit the ground running against the Washington Nationals with a thrilling performance! Our very own Lars Nootbaar set the tone by singling to right, followed by Willson Contreras getting hit by a pitch, putting Nootbaar in scoring position. Nolan Arenado then came through with a single to left, bringing Nootbaar home and opening up the scoreboard for the Cardinals! 🥳 After an energetic start, Alec Burleson flew out, allowing Contreras to advance to third, and then Ivan Herrera stepped up with a clutch single to plate Contreras, giving us a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Way to go, team! 🎉

Adding to the Lead with Power and Precision

Our bats stayed hot in the third inning when Alec Burleson blasted a solo homer, extending our lead to 4-1. The excitement continued as Victor Scott II joined the home run club in the fifth inning, sending a rocket to right center—400 feet of pure power! 💪⚾ Donovan added to the scoreboard, hitting an RBI single in the fourth to keep the Nationals at bay. Loved seeing how aggressive our lineup was today!

Strong Finish as Cardinals Dominate the Game

The Cardinals maintained their momentum throughout the game with an added insurance run in the seventh inning when Nolan Gorman ripped a double that sent pinch runner Brody Moore home, making it 7-1. On the mound, our pitchers did an outstanding job holding the Nationals to just a single run, showcasing dominance right up until the final out. ✊ Ryan Helsley and Guillermo Zuniga were incredible out of the bullpen, shutting the game down in style. Cardinals fans, this win is another testament to the all-round potential our team has this season. Onward to many more victories! 🏆❤️
